We’ve started trying to get all the tests done that we need to have to be able to go ahead with the second round of treatment recently but it’s getting a bit stressful! You need to have a mammogram, a smear and all the sexual health screenings, plus a few others tests (for both myself and Mr M) but there’s been a long delay in getting appointments. Again, we’ve decided to go out to Spain for the transfer just before Christmas after the busy period’s over for me at work, but I’m now starting to worry if we’ve got enough time to get everything done? Are we rushing this? And are we crazy to do this all just before Xmas? (If we go for it, we’ll literally fly back a couple of days before the 25th). But, after talking to our consultant, she puts our minds at rest. Apparently, it’s much simpler the second time around. Because the embryos are frozen now, we basically just need to choose a date we want the transfer and she works backwards from there, to about a month before and that’s when the scans and drugs start. Simple! I hope!
